RAINFALL is a drum crystal chandelier by SHUCHUANG. A deep drum of matt black metal forms the top of the piece as a clean opaque cylinder that reads as solid mass, and from beneath it a dense field of fine crystal drops falls in a continuous curtain. The black drum absorbs light and gives the piece a defined architectural cap, while the crystal below is lit to glitter against it, so the rain reads as bright and weightless because it hangs from something dark and heavy. Made to order for rotunda voids, curved balconies and atriums. Drum diameter, drum depth, drop density and drop length are engineered to your void. Rain from a dark drum
RAINFALL rings a curving rotunda void with fine crystal drops, then caps them with a deep matt-black metal drum, so the black band reads as a cloud and the crystal below as the rain falling from it.

A drum crystal chandelier, rain beneath a dark band
RAINFALL sets one hard element against one soft. A deep drum of matt black metal forms the top of the piece — a clean, opaque cylinder that reads as solid mass — and from beneath it a dense field of fine crystal drops falls in a continuous curtain.
The contrast carries the whole design. The black drum absorbs light and gives the piece a defined, architectural cap, while the crystal below is lit to glitter against it, so the rain reads as bright and weightless precisely because it hangs from something dark and heavy. The curved run lets the piece follow the edge of a rotunda rather than sit as a single body.
