Gulf Convention Centre

Since its opening in 1997, it has been one of the preferred venues for hosting various top-level events in Bahrain. After a comprehensive renovation in 2018, the center now boasts 33 flexible and versatile venues, including the Al Dana main hall that can accommodate 3,000 people and an exhibition hall that can set up 75 booths, with a total area of over 4,780 square meters.

Fragile whirl

The hotel’s three spaces have the same aesthetic feel. The fragile cone-shaped installations were assembled from hundreds of hand-blown components. Overall, 672 identical pieces had to be made to create the sculptures for the pre-function, multifunction and dining areas. The Whirls were designed by Petra Krausová.
