ROSSO is a red glass installation by SHUCHUANG. Red glass forms are hung individually at the top of the volume, each a folded sheet worked to a different curl so no two present the same face, set high and spread wide to leave the hall open beneath them. The colour is body colour rather than a filter or a coloured lamp, so light arrives at the pale stone already red and shaped by the curl of the glass, leaving large soft red marks that move with the light. Made to order for historic halls, banking halls and vaulted interiors. Element count, spread, drop heights and glass colour are engineered to your space. ROSSO suspends deep red glass forms high in a pale stone hall, hung loose and at every angle. The colour is in the glass, so it lands on the walls as red shadow rather than as coloured light.

Red glass forms are hung individually at the top of the volume, each a folded sheet worked to a different curl so no two present the same face. They are set high and spread wide, well clear of the floor, so the hall itself is left entirely open beneath them.
The colour is body colour, not a filter or a coloured lamp. Light passing through each form arrives at the pale stone already red and shaped by the curl of the glass, so the walls carry large soft red marks that move with the light rather than a hard projected pattern — the installation extends onto surfaces it never touches.
