GROVE is a sculptural glass installation by SHUCHUANG. A dense stand of ribbed glass stems fills the volume rather than hanging above it, dropping to a range of heights so the piece has a plan and a section rather than just a face. Each stem is assembled from stacked glass segments whose joints catch light in a way a single length would not, and sources above the stand fire down through it so the light is carried inside the glass. Made to order for cocktail lounges, restaurants and lobby bars. Footprint, stem count, stem diameter and drop range are engineered to your room. Made to order in our own workshop in Guzhen, Zhongshan, China. Worldwide shipping.

Project
GROVE plants a dense stand of ribbed glass stems that drop from a dark textured ceiling to just above the seating, packed close enough to screen a room and clear enough to see straight through.
GROVE is made to order in our own workshop. Footprint, stem count, stem diameter and drop range are all built to your room, then shipped and delivered worldwide.
A dense stand of ribbed glass stems fills the whole volume rather than hanging above it. The stems drop to a range of heights — some stopping near the ceiling, others reaching down beside the seating — so the piece has a plan and a section rather than just a face.
Each stem is assembled from stacked glass segments, and the joints between them catch light in a way a single length would not. Sources sit above the stand and fire down through it, so the light is carried inside the glass and the room beyond is seen through a screen of bright vertical lines.
Made to order for cocktail lounges, restaurants and lobby bars. Footprint, stem count, stem diameter and drop range are engineered to your room, and the stand can be planted as a full volume or thinned to a boundary between two areas.
