Vertical amber rods hang in concentric bands from a metal ring frame, each band set slightly shorter than the one outside it, so the outer face steps inward as it descends and the silhouette tapers with no part of the frame visible. The sources sit inside the ring and fire outward through the rods, so the whole band glows at an even temperature while the hollow centre stays dark. AURELIA stacks bands of vertical amber crystal into one open ring, hung in a dark ceiling recess. The centre is left hollow, so the piece is read as a rim of warm light rather than as a solid body.

Vertical amber rods are hung in concentric bands from a metal ring frame, band inside band, each band set slightly shorter than the one outside it. The rods hang free, so the outer face steps inward as it descends and the silhouette tapers without any part of the frame being visible.
The sources sit inside the ring and fire outward through the rods. Amber crystal carries warm light down its full length rather than only at the cut end, so the whole band glows at an even temperature and the hollow centre stays dark — which is what gives the piece its weight against a dark ceiling.
