PRISM is a glass tube chandelier by SHUCHUANG. Vertical glass tubes hang in concentric rings from stacked frames, each frame carrying its ring at its own diameter, so the body swells at the shoulder and draws in toward the base to give a bell profile with no moulded part anywhere in it. The tubes are ribbed rather than polished flat, so light travelling down them is broken along every rib and the surface holds a continuous soft glow instead of throwing hard points. Made to order for grand salons, arched halls and high lobbies. Diameter, tier count, tube length and overall drop are engineered to your ceiling. Made to order in our own workshop in Guzhen, Zhongshan, China. Worldwide shipping.
SHUCHUANG
Project
PRISM gathers vertical glass tubes into stacked tiers that widen and then close again toward the base, hung under a high arch. The tubes are clear and ribbed, so the whole body reads as texture rather than as sparkle.
PRISM is made to order in our own workshop. Diameter, tier count, tube length and overall drop are all built to your ceiling, then shipped and delivered worldwide.
Vertical glass tubes are hung in concentric rings from a series of stacked frames. Each frame carries its own ring of tubes at its own diameter, and the diameters are set so the body swells at the shoulder and draws in again toward the base, giving the piece a bell profile without a moulded part anywhere in it.
The tubes are ribbed rather than polished flat. Light entering from the frames above is broken along every rib as it travels down, so the surface holds a continuous soft glow instead of throwing hard points — which is why the piece can be this large in a plaster and stone room without dominating it.
Made to order for grand salons, arched halls and high lobbies. Diameter, tier count, tube length and overall drop are engineered to your ceiling, and the frames are shipped separately for assembly on site.
