RIBBON is a glass banner chandelier by SHUCHUANG. Each banner is a curtain of fine glass strands hung from a shaped upper edge so it can twist and curl along its length, with a pierced metal border running along the top to give the soft strand curtain a drawn edge. Set against a dark ceiling the banners overlap at different heights and angles, reading as torn cloth passing over one another, and the pierced borders throw a fine dotted pattern above each. Made to order for ballrooms, banquet halls and event spaces. Banner count, banner length, curl and border pattern are engineered to your ceiling. RIBBON hangs long fringed banners of glass strands across a dark ballroom ceiling, curling and overlapping at different heights, each edged with a pierced metal border, so the ceiling reads as cloth caught in motion.

A glass banner chandelier, hung like torn cloth
Each banner in RIBBON is a curtain of fine glass strands hung from a shaped upper edge, so it can twist and curl along its length rather than hang flat. A pierced metal border runs along the top of each, giving the soft strand curtain a defined, drawn edge where it meets the ceiling.
Set against a dark ceiling, the banners overlap at different heights and angles, so the piece reads as several lengths of torn cloth passing over one another rather than as a single fixture. The dark ground lets the glass carry all the light, and the pierced borders throw a fine dotted pattern above each banner.
Made to order for ballrooms, banquet halls and event spaces. Banner count, banner length, curl and border pattern are engineered to your ceiling, and the banners can be run in a line or crossed over a wider field.
