PUFF is a dandelion glass chandelier by SHUCHUANG. Each sphere is built from hundreds of fine glass filaments radiating from a single small dark core, cut so their tips sit on the surface of a sphere and the volume appears hollow. Light is carried along each filament to its end, so what glows is the sphere's surface — a cloud of individual points with nothing solid behind them — and several spheres hung at different sizes read as a drift of seedheads. Made to order for atrium voids, stairwells and double-height lounges. Sphere count, sphere diameter, filament density and grouping are engineered to your space. Each sphere in PUFF is built from hundreds of fine glass filaments radiating from a single small core, cut so their tips sit on the surface of a sphere. The core is tiny and dark, so the eye reads only the outer shell of points and the volume appears hollow.
Light is delivered to the tips rather than the core. Each filament carries light along its length to its end, so what glows is the sphere's surface — a cloud of individual points with nothing solid behind them — and several spheres hung at different sizes read as a drift of seedheads rather than a set of fixtures.
