ONDINE is a curved crystal ceiling light by SHUCHUANG. Each shell is a shallow crystal panel formed to a single sweeping curve and lit from behind, so the surface glows evenly and the curve is what the eye follows down the corridor. A mirrored opening cut into the dark vaulted ceiling releases a loose fall of rippled crystal forms, giving the corridor a vertical event where people turn and making the opening read as deeper than it is. ONDINE works a corridor in two registers: long curved crystal shells lit from within along one side, and a cascade of clear crystal forms spilling out of a mirrored opening in the dark vaulted ceiling above.

A curved crystal ceiling light, run in long shells
Long curved shells carry the light along the corridor. Each is a shallow crystal panel formed to a single sweeping curve and lit from behind, so the surface glows evenly and the curve — not the fitting — is what the eye follows down the length of the space.
The cascade does the opposite job. A mirrored opening is cut into the dark vaulted ceiling, and a loose fall of rippled crystal forms spills out of it and down, so the corridor gains a vertical event at the point where people turn. The mirror doubles the fall and makes the opening read as deeper than it is.
