SHUCHUANG is a custom lighting manufacturer based in Guzhen, Zhongshan — widely known as the lighting capital of the world. Since 2012, we've designed and built alabaster, glass, crystal and fully bespoke fixtures for discerning interiors across Europe and North America.
Our Story
Founded in 2012, SHUCHUANG grew up in Guzhen, Zhongshan — the town at the heart of China's lighting industry. From the beginning, our goal was simple: to be a maker, not a middleman. That means designing, engineering and assembling lighting under our own roof, with the control over quality and detail that only a real workshop can offer.
Over the years we've focused on the pieces most factories avoid — sculptural alabaster, hand-shaped glass, large crystal installations and one-off custom work — the kind of lighting that becomes the centrepiece of a space.
Built In-House
Our 4,000 m² facility is built for control. Half of it — a 2,000 m² metal workshop — is dedicated to fabricating the frames and hardware that give each fixture its structure. The remaining 2,000 m² houses our assembly line, offices and a showroom of finished samples.
Having our own metal workshop is what sets us apart from trading companies: we don't just source parts and assemble them. We engineer and build the structure ourselves, which means we can hold tighter tolerances, adapt almost any dimension or finish, and take on ambitious custom pieces from a single drawing.

Trusted on Demanding Projects
Each year we take on roughly 13–15 major custom projects, typically large-scale installations valued at two million RMB or more. Our lighting has been specified for five-star and internationally branded hotels, as well as villas, clubhouses and private residences.
These are the projects where precision, reliability and finish matter most — and where having a real workshop behind the work makes all the difference. We partner with designers, architects and project teams to take a concept from first sketch to final, installed piece.
